Orange Alert Issued in Uttarakhand Weather Today

As per Bikram Singh, Director of the Meteorological Centre in Dehradun, Uttarakhand weather today is under the strong influence of an active monsoon. Rainfall is occurring as predicted in many areas. For today, Bageshwar and Rudraprayag are under an orange alert, where isolated locations may receive heavy to very heavy rain. This alert is also applicable to hilly districts like Dehradun, where Uttarakhand weather today is expected to remain rainy and unpredictable.

Uttarakhand Weather Today Sees Above-Normal Rainfall in 7 Districts

Uttarakhand weather today has led to excess rainfall in seven districts this season. Chamoli has received 242% more rain than normal, Bageshwar 217%, and Uttarkashi 107%. Other districts witnessing above-normal rainfall include Almora, Dehradun, Pithoragarh, and Rudraprayag. However, a few districts are still recording rainfall below the seasonal average.

Temperatures Remain Stable in Uttarakhand Weather Today

Despite heavy rain, Uttarakhand weather today has shown stability in temperature across several areas. On Friday, Dehradun recorded a high of 31.4°C, slightly lower than Thursday. Other notable temperatures include Pantnagar at 35°C, Mukteshwar at 20.2°C, and New Tehri at 22.8°C. This indicates that Uttarakhand weather today is cooler and more humid due to continuous rain.
